Docker and Kubernetes are everywhere and you can spin up a production-grade Kubernetes cluster in Azure in a few minutes to run all your shiny new cloud-native apps. But, where does that leave your older apps like WCF services which need to run on Windows? The good news is you can bring them along to Kubernetes too, running them in Windows Docker containers. This session gives you a fast introduction to the basics – Windows containers, Dockerfiles, and the Kubernetes YAML syntax. You’ll see how to take a WCF app from 2008 and run it in Kubernetes on Azure with no code changes, taking advantage of all the benefits of a container platform.
