How have you find working with the Logic App Workflow Definition Language?

  • Kent Weare

When using the HTTP Listener – what is the syntax for using a Query Parameter from the HTTP Listener in a subsequent card? Would it be something like this: @{triggers().outputs.body.QueryParameters.} ?

    • M.R.Ashwin Prabhu

Hi Kent, The syntax for using query parameter from HTTP listener is “triggers().outputs.body.QueryParameters[‘YourParameter’]” . I think you can also use “@triggers().outputs.body.QueryParameters.YourParameter”. I hope this works, I tried it for few of my trails.

    Integration with VS and intellisense

    • M.R.Ashwin Prabhu

As of now with VS in regards to Logic Apps, you writing JSON and doesn’t provide graphical model support. Advantages of VS with Logic App, it provides intellisense support if you want to author Logic App using JSON as oppose to graphical modelling which you can do on in Azure portal as of now.

    Can we do debatching?

    • M.R.Ashwin Prabhu

Debatching is possible, but bit trickly. I have done a POC on the same. Will publish a step-by-step guidance article on my blog (http://www.fortuvis.com/blog/) soon.

Thanks Ash for your response. Regarding what you mentioned about Azyre SDK 2.6, I have it on my laptop with VS2012, however, when I create a new cloud project, I do not see any Logic Apps or API apps template, I only see Web role worker, ASP.Net role, WCF role…………. Is there any additional stuff to download and setup

        • M.R.Ashwin Prabhu

I tried the same, but Azure Resource Manager template and its relevant Logic App templates are available only when you install Azure SDK 2.6 for VS2013. It is not available for VS2012.
